I started my journey in my family’s salon business near Seattle, Washington.

It all began with tidying up, sweeping hair, assisting with reception duties, and supporting stylists and educators in our salon and beauty academy.

After finishing a two-year apprenticeship with a renowned stylist, I had the opportunity to manage and co-own a new salon in a local hotel in the USA. While successful, I felt the urge to expand my knowledge. I decided to partner with my mother, who is a pioneer in the aesthetics field, and together we ventured into the emerging spa industry. Together, we opened the first full-service day spa in the Pacific Northwest.

This endeavour opened up more opportunities for me to travel and share spa education across North and Central America as a Spa Therapist and Consultant. Upon moving to Canada, I took a brief break from the hands-on aspect of the industry to focus on raising my family. During this time, I delved into the study of holistic and wellness therapies and made a comeback to the beauty industry in 2008.

I was honoured to be a finalist for Beautician of the Year at both the 2018 and 2019 BC Hair and Beauty Awards. I earned representation for Best of Vancouver Island and Day Spa of the Year consecutively. In 2021, I achieved a long-time goal by completing my certification as a Chopra Ayurvedic Lifestyle Educator and Consultant. My passion for studying and sharing Ayurveda, known as the “Science of Life,” has enhanced my skills in the wellness field.
